Sometimes I think back to all the times my parents warned me not to meet strangers from the Internet. Sorry, mum and dad, but I've made many friends and happy memories from online communities – united by a love of food, travel and photography. A perfect example: last weekend, I met up with Supal (of Chevrons & Eclairs) and Katie (of QKatie), two talented ladies who have moved to London from the States. How would we have ever connected without platforms like Instagram?
Together we whipped up a feast fit for kings and queens upon a sunny rooftop garden. Supal used her mother's recipe for kabab koobideh with mint yoghurt, while Katie served up an incredible vegetable tart with a sweet potato crust. I assembled a heritage tomato and mozzarella salad and my boyfriend Nathaniel grilled lamb chops, heritage carrots (drizzled with tahini and pomegranate seeds) and corn on the cob.
We had such fun planning and cooking together, that we decided to make this a regular thing! We are calling it #FeastByThree and I already can't wait for the next beautiful meeting.
